I have always loved to do pieces based on mixed techniques using acrylics, collage and drawing to represent what lives inside of me. I paint life, with all of its beauty, diversity, surprises and possibilities. Sometimes life shakes us up, sends us on journeys, transports us with the tides and winds like a bird in flight. It transforms us through time, like a growing tree. It takes us on adventures, voyages without limits towards the unknown, and brings us to the place we are destined to be.

Some characterize my work as abstract, others as figurative. My artwork is a process of spontaneous creation, exploration and discovery. The image comes from within, inspired by nature's textures, water and vast horizons.

Images appear through total abandon. Simplicity and sensitivity push me to create unknown places...places that are interpreted differently depending on the admirer.

The suject of each piece comes from the freedom to allow internal sensations to pulsate, coming and going as the energy flows. The form becomes representative of a deep, symbolic nature. Figurative elements are incorproated in an fundamentally abstract landscape.

The square or rectangular forms that are of metallic substance are what I call the "Carré Zen" (the zen square). The carré zen is there to create pause, so the eye will stop on the image and rest, allowing an opening to the inner self. Is it a door? A window? A light?

The carré zen brings the spectator to a stop, to pause, to reflect, to enter within. It is an opening to the self but also to others. It is the moment where time stops and the observer is transported into an opening of the mind.
