The mission of the Le Renfort Foundation is to improve the quality of life of children and adults with an intellectual disability (ID) and/or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
The Foundation more specifically supports the low-income families of these people by offering them direct financial assistance for needs related to their diagnosis. It also organizes various annual activities to promote their social inclusion and appreciation in the community.

The Maison des Arts Le Renfort will be an activity center with an artistic vocation in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, with the mission of promoting the development and updating of adults with intellectual disabilities. (DI) or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Services will be offered from Monday to Friday to anyone aged 21 and over with an ID-ASD diagnosis.
Involvement in the community is an integral part of the values and mission of La Galerie de Miss Rey (hereinafter “La Galerie”). Through various activities, such as artistic fights, La Galerie supports local organizations in carrying out their projects.
It is therefore quite natural for La Galerie to start the new year 2023 with a fundraiser. This fundraiser is intended for the MAISON DES ARTS LE RENFORT project, an initiative of the Fondation le Renfort. This project aims to improve the lives of several beneficiaries. By your donation, you contribute directly to the success of their programs and their center of artistic activities.
How does a Porto & Choco with the Heart work?
This evening is a private event. People from the region, from the community, entrepreneurs and business people, buy a ticket to participate in Porto & Choco with the Heart. The seats are limited.

Included with the purchase of your ticket: 1. An amount of 10$ will be automatically donated to the Le Renfort foundation, 2. You have the chance to participate in the draws, 3. Tasting of ports and chocolates.
We present the Maison des Arts project and encourage guests to buy a Marc Hébert painting to support the cause. The presence of a representative of the Fondation le Renfort is on the menu to properly explain the cause and answer people's questions.
There is a schedule for the evening:
*Presentation of the case,
*Presentation by featured artist Marc Hébert,
* Tasting of Ports with chocolates pre-selected by our collaborators, FG Chocolatiers, 4 courses,
*Prints,
*Music and background decor (for Valentine's Day).
The event has a duration of (more or less) two hours.
Those who buy a canvas can then donate the canvas to the Maison des Arts, in order to decorate the walls of the House. (It is a suggestion, not an obligation, to offer the paintings to La Maison des Arts.)
+ Purchasers will receive a tax receipt of 500$ for their donation.
+ However, if they offer the canvas to La Maison, the amount of 500$ will be increased.
NB The tax receipt is issued by the non-profit organization, Fondation le Renfort. A list of buyers will be drawn up by La Galerie de Miss Rey and forwarded to the Foundation at the end of the fundraising.
The chocolates will be selected by our experts Geneviève Leblanc and chef Frédéric de Villeneuve in order to go well with the Ports. Four services of chocolates with two Ports are on the menu for the evening.
