Our 2nd Miss Rey's Art Battles of the 2023 season!

The 2nd Miss Rey's Art Battles 2023, from June 24 is POSTPONED to June 25.

Five artists had to “fight” for the public vote on June 24 in the parking lot of La Galerie de Miss Rey!

Mother Nature made sure to change the date of the fight…. the rain forces us to postpone the date to June 25th.

Four veterans and a new participant will create, each with their technique and inspiration, a spectacular work!

Miss Rey reveals the mystery subject at 1:30 p.m. The artists take 30 minutes to organize their materials and ideas and the clock starts at 2:00 p.m. They have ONE hour to do their work!

We need the public to vote for the winner, so join us! Bring your lawn chair, sunscreen, bottle of water, etc. and make yourself comfortable. You will feast your eyes on this dynamic and extraordinary show!

Our 5 guest artists are (in alphabetical order of first name): Dan Nadon, our oldest, with 10 fights in her bag, in her 5th season, Hugues Messier, in its 3rd season, Lorraine Ricard, his first fight with us, Marie Peltier, in its 4th season, and Yvan LaPalme, in its 4th season. WOW! It looks like quite a fight!

Our cause...The Maison des Arts le Renfort

We are continuing our fundraising activity for the Maison des Arts le Renfort.

THE HOUSE OF ARTS LE RENFORT, an initiative of the Le Renfort Foundation. The Maison des arts Le Renfort is located at 176 rue Longueuil in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

The mission of the Fondation Le Renfort and the Maison des arts Le Renfort

"The mission of the The Reinforcement Foundation is to improve the quality of life of children and adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The House of Arts The Reinforcement will be an activity center with an artistic vocation in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, with the mission of promoting the development and updating of adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) . Services will be offered from Monday to Friday to anyone aged 21 and over with an ID-ASD diagnosis.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE MAISON DES ARTS ARE:

To allow our participants to live enriching experiences through the arts;
To optimize their overall development, both at the cognitive level, at the psychomotor level and at the socio-affective level;
To highlight their skills to enable them to integrate into society;
Raise public awareness of the benefits of getting involved with others, despite differences. »
