Marc Hébert is a permanent artist at La Galerie de Miss Rey!

During the opening of the collection Les cent ciels by Marc Hébert, his status as a friend of La Galerie changed. Marc is now an artist in residence (with a permanence). It is thanks to her participation in our many events and her contagious enthusiasm that Miss Rey could not miss the opportunity! Marc has taken part in Miss Rey's Art Battles every season without hesitation. He has done several exhibitions as a guest artist (such as the Au-Delà exhibition and the collective exhibition of Ça va bien aller). In addition, he was one of the artists of Bourgogne B'ART-B-Que (exhibition under a marquee at various locations on Avenue Bourgogne, an initiative of La Galerie de Miss Rey in 2021). He agreed to give demonstrations in front of the public! Through all these instances, Marc shared his desire to make art accessible and alive.

Biography
Create harmony in the duality of my left brain and my right brain, the first of which always seeks precision and authenticity while the second, in its frivolity, wanders away from reality with a free and spontaneous brushstroke! Together, they manage to create atmospheres palpable by the spectator by transmitting the emotion of the subject by the study of shadows and lights, the search for depth and the fluidity of the painting giving three-dimensional effects to certain elements of the composition. . The inspiration of the moment will determine the subject, somewhere between the abstract and the figurative. Variety in unity, such is the motto that sums up all of my paintings.
Self-taught for thirty years, I have been offering courses/workshops for over twenty years in addition to creating and leading various artistic activities. Audience Award Festival du Monarque 2015 at the Cinlb, Granby. Prize of the jury of the 2017 Urban Sketches competition, Granby. Special Mention 2013 International Art Contest. My paintings are found in turn in a few art galleries, including the Art Gallery of Miss Rey, in different venues where I have had solo exhibitions. I also participate in symposia and group exhibitions. My last adventure; I now offer step-by-step video lessons with follow-up on Messenger and remote coatching.
My latest series: Les Cent Ciels du Québec… which I had dreamed of creating for so long has come to fruition…
