Biography

Biography

Fay, born Guylaine Tremblay in 1971, lives in Terrebonne, Quebec. She chose her name to stand out from the renowned Quebec actress of the same name and also in homage to her mother who called her her little fairy. Guylaine therefore naturally became Fay, without losing her identity by using the end of her last name.

Artist since 2013, raised in art, spent her youth imagining herself being one of the characters in the paintings owned by her artist father. It was following her opening that Fay decided to follow in her father's footsteps. She therefore took up painting while perfecting her art privately for 4 years. in order to offer the best of herself through her creations. She thus went from contemplating works from the family collection to becoming a successful artist.

Since 2015 she has already had several exhibitions to her credit, both collective and solo, and she has also participated in important events, particularly in the medical field, in addition to having been selected as part of a montage video for 44 Art Event and to have been talked about during a written publication in Venice, Italy. This established artist can also boast of having already exhibited and sold in New York in addition to seeing one of her paintings fly away at the International Fine Art Cannes Biennale which is held during the prestigious Cannes Festival.

Fay is an extremely spiritual person who creates intuitive pieces to inspire her public. Her artistic ideas come to her at night, in her sleep, and upon awaking she makes them come alive. Her abstract art is done in tones of white, gray or silver, black and gold. Sometimes she will use a particular color, mostly for special order pieces. She uses her spatulas, knives, hands and brushes to create her mixed media artwork as the variety of tools helps her better express her inspiration. In Fay's most recent collection, she used crushed mirror to represent the mirror to the soul, a unique element that adds a certain richness to her work.
